J.J. Stokes is a graduate of the University of California Los Angeles from 1991 to 1994. As a Sophomore he earned PAC-10 Honors which allowed him to be a top 10 candidate for the Heisman Trophy his Junior Year. In the 1995 NFL Draft, Stokes was selected as the 10th Pick in the 1st Round by the 49ers. His career emerged with Steve Young as quarterback where he recieved several touchdowns. His talent as wide reciever allowed the 49ers to have several roles in wide reciever with Jerry Rice, Terrel Owens, and J.J. Stokes.
